Color
A seductive deep garnet red sparkles in the glass, gently lightening at the rims.
Scent
The Nit de Nin 2019 creates an intense, aromatic bouquet. An interplay of juicy black cherries, dark berries in preserving jars and hearty plum jam makes its way to the nose. This symphony of fruit is underpinned by sensual notes of dark chocolate and a pinch of exotic spices - clove, cinnamon and cardamom beckon from afar. A hint of fine wood smoke and sweet vanilla testify to the careful ageing in oak barrels.
Taste
The palate reveals a harmonious combination of sweet fruit and challenging minerality, perfectly balanced by the fine tannin framework and a youthfully fresh acidity. A wine that is characterised by its feminine and playful nature and therefore goes excellently with dishes that have a fruity sweetness and spiciness. Allow it at least two hours of breathing time before enjoying it from a large wine glass.
Food recommendation
Enjoy it with grilled vegetables marinated in balsamic vinegar, served on a bed of black lentils. Try it with barbecue specialities, accompanied by a side of figgy red cabbage and crispy potato wedges. Alternatively, it can be enjoyed harmoniously with hearty lamb stew with chickpeas and a touch of cumin. Let yourself drift and discover the diversity of this charming wine for yourself.
