Albariño

Also known as: Alvarinho (Portugal), Cainho Blanco

Albariño is the Atlantic variety par excellence: salt, citrus, stony coolness. In Rias Baixas, the Galician coastal region, it delivers white wines with natural freshness and a minerality that comes directly from the granite and sea breeze.

The acidity is present, but never harsh – more like the bite of an unripe peach skin. The aromatics remain restrained: white fruit, sometimes apricot kernel, sometimes fennel. Nothing loud, nothing intrusive. Attis Bodegas y Vinedos shows what is possible when Albariño is treated with care: precise, straightforward, with the tension that defines this variety.
