Tasting Notes for Attis Lias Finas 2025 by Attis Bodegas y Viñedos

Character
An Atlantic-influenced dry white wine of impressive density and saline freshness. Extended lees contact adds substance and a rich, rounded texture to the structure without masking the crisp, vibrant acidity characteristic of the variety. The wine exhibits a cool, taut elegance with noticeable grip and a maritime bite.
Terroir & Origin
Hails from the Val do Salnés, the historic heartland of the Galician appellation Rías Baixas. The vines grow on sandy granite soils with a westerly aspect. Trained in the traditional pergola system, the grapes benefit from optimal airflow – a crucial advantage in the region’s rainfall-heavy climate. Cool afternoon sea breezes ensure a slow ripening process while preserving full freshness.
Grape Variety & Vinification
Single-varietal Albariño, defined by the artisanal approach of brothers Robustiano and Baldomero Fariña alongside consultant oenologist Jean-François Hébrard. The grapes are sourced in part from vines up to 60 years old. Maturation on the fine lees (“Lías Finas”) imparts creamy, complex mouthfeel expressions and perfectly balances the naturally striking acid structure.
Food Pairings
Ideal with freshly caught seafood such as oysters, prawns or mussels. Pairs magnificently with steamed turbot, Galician-style octopus as well as creamy local cow’s milk cheese.
