Wine information
This rare drop is a 100 % Albariño Orange Wine, whose production is limited to only 850 bottles.

Wine processing procedure
The grapes were picked by hand in 15 kg boxes. After selection and complete de-stemming, spontaneous fermentation took place in clay vats, partly also with maceration in larger 380 l clay vats. A natural degradation of the malolactic acid and a final filtration followed.

Physical description
This wine impresses with its intense amber colour, interspersed with orange reflections.

In the nose
The 2018 Sitta Doliola from Attis offers a rich bouquet: soaring aromas of lush orange meets orange zest and sweet orange jam. Hints of malt sweets and wild herbal notes dipped in honey mingle with rosemary, thyme and eucalyptus. Hints of dried apple skin and dried apricots join dominant oriental spices, especially turmeric, rounded out by cinnamon and clove. The hint of colourful flowers and grasses concludes this exciting aromatic journey.

On the palate
Dry, powerful and distinctive, it moves across the tongue and immediately inspires the need for powerfully spiced dishes with its robust, meaty note. Its generous fruit melds superbly with a subtle bitterness and salty length, powerfully combined with pleasantness and finesse. This wine certainly promises fascinating maturity.

For perfect enjoyment, it should be decanted and served in a large glass at a not too cold temperature.

Alternative food suggestions
How about a saffron-infused risotto enhanced with lychee and roasted peach? Or try grilled squid on a bed of pak choi, enhanced with pickled kumquats and teriyaki sauce. Another suggestion would be entrecote with orange-absinthe butter, accompanied by blood oranges and beetroot.
