Wine Description for Rosso per tutti 2024 by Pranzegg

Character
The name says it all: „Red for everyone“ – a wine without pretence, delivering exactly what it promises. With just 11.5% alcohol, this South Tyrolean red is light-footed, approachable and yet possessed of genuine substance. Not a wine seeking to impress, but one that accompanies – at table, in conversation, in everyday life. That is true artistry.
Terroir & Origin
South Tyrol is one of Europe’s most fascinating wine regions: an alpine climate that ensures freshness and minerality, combined with Mediterranean sunshine that imparts ripeness and depth. The soils around Bolzano, where Pranzegg is based, are characterised by porphyry and slate – volcanic heritage that gives the wines a distinctive spice and tension. This combination of altitude, temperature amplitude and geological diversity is the quiet foundation of this wine.
Grape Variety & Vinification
The cuvée of Lagrein and Vernatsch is a classic South Tyrolean duo – and at Pranzegg no accident. Lagrein brings body, dark fruit and a silky structure that is unmistakably down-to-earth. Vernatsch – one of South Tyrol’s oldest and most deeply rooted grape varieties – adds lightness, herbal spice and an almost Burgundian transparency. Martin Gojer, the driving force behind Pranzegg, works with care and respect for the place. His approach is artisanal, nature-connected and without showiness – reflected in this straightforward yet honest wine.
Food Pairing Suggestions
A wine for the real table. Excellent with South Tyrolean cured meat platter, speck and aged mountain cheese. Equally an ideal companion to pasta al ragù, grilled mushrooms or a simple focaccia with olives. Served lightly chilled, it unfolds its full charm – and reminds us that the finest wines are often the most accessible.
