Colour scheme
Dazzling gold with playful green notes.
Scent
The 2014 Riesling Brand is initially somewhat reserved, requiring a touch of patience to reveal its true personality. When given enough room to breathe, it unfolds a seductive bouquet of yellow fruits reminiscent of apricots, candied lemon peel and sweet grapefruit. Subtle floral and hay notes create a country atmosphere, interwoven with delicate ginger and lemon balm undertones. The whole is carefully wrapped in a clearly noticeable minerality.
Tasting
On the tongue, the 2014 Riesling Brand is an example of sweet-salty-sour complexity. Its refreshing citrus note, combined with an animating freshness, leaves a striking impression. Even in its youthful stage, this powerful drop is enticing, although it would certainly benefit from a few quiet years in the cellar.
Note
Those who cannot wait and want to enjoy it immediately should decant it over a few hours and serve it in a generous glass. With each hour of opening, it gains in expressiveness.
