Elisabetta Foradori is among the pioneers of biodynamic winemaking in Italy and has brought the indigenous Teroldego variety to international recognition. The Cilindrica – named after the cylindrical shape of traditional amphorae – represents her purist philosophy: minimal intervention, maximum expression. With a moderate 12.5% alcohol content, this wine displays elegance and drinkability, far removed from modern displays of power.

Terroir & Origin

Trentino, nestled between the Dolomites and Lake Garda, offers ideal conditions for the late-ripening Teroldego vine. The Campo Rotaliano plain with its calcareous alluvial soils and the cooling influence of mountain breezes decisively shapes the character of these wines. The IGT classification allows Foradori maximum freedom in vinification, which she uses to preserve the authentic voice of the terroir.

Grape Variety & Vinification

Teroldego is an ancient Trentino variety that long stood in the shadow of international grape varieties until Foradori demonstrated its potential for refined, age-worthy wines. The Cilindrica is aged in clay amphorae – a return to ancient methods that gives the wine structure without masking the fruit. Biodynamic viticulture and the absence of temperature control as well as sulphur additions during fermentation result in a wine of living authenticity and crystalline clarity.
