Color
Dark purple, slightly clouded almost colourless to the rim.
Nose
The 2019 Sgarzon presents itself wild and earthy, it needs a lot of air to unfold its charm. Its berry fruit is masculine and delicately tart, reminiscent of sloe, rowan and elder wood, accompanied by beetroot, ivy and boxwood. Its aromatic spectrum seems interwoven and it is a great pleasure to approach it sensorially.
Palate
On the palate, its youthful acidity and fine tannin structure make it still demanding and youthful. Its dark berry fruit mingles clearly with the earthy aromas of the nose, a fine mineral note and delicate saltiness, which stimulates the drinking flow in combination with a sour cherry note that is now added. Similar to the Morei, it is a pleasure to taste this wine over several days to follow its exciting development. At the moment, it is a real diamond in the rough.
If you want to enjoy it now, you should decant it and serve it slightly chilled in a sufficiently large glass.
