Wine Description for Brichet Colli Trevigiani IGT Frizzante Naturalmente by Casa Coste Piane

Colour & Appearance
Pale straw yellow with greenish reflections, lively, fine perlage that has formed naturally in the bottle. Slightly hazy – a sign of unadorned, natural vinification.
Nose
Restrained and honest: white flowers, green apple and lemon zest. The Verdiso grape brings a spicy, almost herbaceous note of chamomile and hay. Nothing intrusive, no perfumed aromas – instead a refreshing directness that evokes summer meadows.
Palate
Crisp, lively, with a fine, creamy texture from bottle fermentation. Stone fruit and unripe pear dominate, underpinned by a saline minerality owed to the lean marl soils. The carbonation is gently integrated, almost caressing. At 11% alcohol, the wine remains featherlight and utterly quaffable – a Prosecco as it was before the industrial revolution.
Finish
Medium length, refreshing, with a fine yeast note and persistent citrus freshness. The acidity remains present without being intrusive – perfectly balanced.
Terroir & Origin
The vineyards lie in the heart of Valdobbiadene between 250 and 400 metres altitude on lean marl soils. The vines, averaging 80 years old, were propagated through mass selection – a genetic diversity that guarantees complexity and resilience.
Grape Variety & Vinification
Glera and Verdiso, organically farmed, hand-harvested. Only the juice from the first pressing is used. Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, bottled in spring, where fermentation is completed in the bottle according to the traditional Col Fondo method. No filtration, no fining – pure expression of terroir.
Food Pairing Suggestions
Fritto Misto, grilled sardines, burrata with tomatoes, summer rolls or simply as an aperitif. The wine also pairs well with bolder flavours such as pan-fried artichokes or saltimbocca.
Special Features
Member of the Consorzio Vini Veri, dedicated to authentic natural wines. An honest, artisanally perfect Prosecco that shows what this category could be if it hadn’t become mass-market commodity.
