Color
Animating cherry red with violet reflections.
Nose
The 2019 Tresoro di Riparbella is beautifully mature, with dark blackberries, black cherries, sloe, mulberries and blackcurrants combining with fine dark chocolate, tobacco, wood smoke, liquorice and leather. Its power and density are impressive, with pickled and roasted herbs such as rosemary, thyme, juniper and black pepper rounding off the overall picture brilliantly.
Palate
Dense and concentrated, it flows over the tongue like a dark velvet carpet, with invigorating acidity and polished tannins. For all its power, it is fresh and invigorating, the salty minerality grabs you and won't let go. A real masterpiece, perfect with dark meat and game dishes. Excellent ageing potential.
