Colour & Appearance

Transparent, vibrant ruby red with a violet shimmer – a youthful wine that already displays its freshness in the glass.

Nose

Authentic Southern Rhône perfume in its purest form: cherries, mulberries and elderflower dominate the fruit spectrum, underpinned by the characteristic garrigue spice with wild thyme, sage, bay leaf and juniper. No frills, just pure Mediterranean authenticity.

Palate

Juicy and direct on the attack, with full red fruit, contoured by delicate yet present phenolics. The tannins remain aromatic-herbal and lend the wine its nonchalant, easy-drinking character. Nothing overwrought, but a wine that knows exactly what it wants to be: uncomplicated and damn good to drink.

Finish

Medium length, with lingering fruit and a fine herbal spice that once again recalls its southern French origins.

Terroir & Origin

Adrien Roustans Domaine d’Ouréa sits at 520 metres altitude in Vacqueyras with views of Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail. The grapes for this Vin de France come from the sandy banks of the Ouvèze stream – lighter soils that are reflected in the wine’s approachability.

Grape Variety & Vinification

An exciting five-way blend of Grenache, Carignan, Syrah, Aramon and Counoise. Whole-bunch fermentation with short maceration, six months in barrel. Fully biodynamically certified since 2023 – you can taste the living energy.

Food Pairing Recommendations

Perfect with grilled merguez, ratatouille, lamb tagine or simply with charcuterie and olives. A wine made for sharing – the name says it all: pull the cork and enjoy!
