Timorasso
Also known as: Timoracio (Piedmont)
Timorasso was long considered extinct. Rediscovered in the 1980s, the variety is now an insider tip for mineral, profound white wines from the Colli Tortonesi in south-eastern Piedmont. The thick-skinned grape produces powerful, structured wines with distinctive acidity and impressive ageing potential. Not for quick consumption, but fascinating in their development.
Vietti interprets Timorasso with remarkable precision – stony freshness without heaviness, with notes of quince, herbs and salt.
