Tasting note

Character
A Tuscan rosé that aspires to be more than mere summer entertainment. The Rosato from Tenuta di Carleone follows in the tradition of those serious Italian rosati that regard lightness and depth not as opposites, but as a unity. Vinified dry, with a vibrant, dry structure that invites contemplation.
Terroir & Origin
Tuscany is far more than Chianti and Brunello – it is a mosaic of hills, clay soils, limestone and a climate that combines Mediterranean warmth with cool nights. This interplay lends Tuscan wines their characteristic tension between ripeness and freshness. The IGT classification grants the estate the freedom to work outside strict appellation rules – a freedom deliberately used here to create an independent style.
Grape Variety & Vinification
Pure Sangiovese – the soul of Tuscany. As a rosé, this grape variety expresses its natural acidity, floral aromatics and characteristic grip with particular elegance. The grapes are harvested early and fermented as whole bunches with natural yeasts at 13 °C in steel and concrete; this yields colour, structure and expression without the weight of a red wine. An artisanal approach that demands precision in the cellar.
Food Pairings
The dry, fresh structure makes this Rosato a versatile companion at the Tuscan table. Ideal with Vitello tonnato, Panzanella or grilled octopus with chickpeas. Equally convincing alongside charcuterie, Pecorino fresco or a simple Pizza Margherita. A wine that does not overwhelm food, but accompanies it.
