Wine Description for Il Corzanello Rosato IGT 2025 by Corzano e Paterno

Character
A dry, lively rosé wine from the heart of Tuscany, which combines the lightness of summer with the serious signature of a tradition-steeped estate. The Il Corzanello Rosato embodies that Tuscan style which does not confuse elegance with fullness – fresh, direct and without pretence.
Terroir & Origin
The estate Corzano e Paterno lies in the gentle hills of Chianti Colli Fiorentini, south-west of Florence – a landscape characterised by galestro and alberese-influenced soils, Mediterranean climate and a deeply rooted winemaking tradition. These calcareous-clay soils lend the wines a natural minerality and freshness, which is particularly appealing in a rosé wine.
Grape Variety & Vinification
Pure Sangiovese – Tuscany’s great grape variety – forms the foundation of this rosato. Vinified as a rosé, the Sangiovese displays its lively acidity structure and its inclination towards delicate fruit aromas with particular authenticity. The classification as IGT gives the estate the necessary freedom to craft the wine according to its own artisanal understanding – beyond rigid regulations, yet with all the more care in the cellar. At 13.0% vol. alcohol, the wine remains pleasantly balanced and approachable.
Food Pairing Suggestions
A versatile companion to Mediterranean cuisine. Excellent with grilled fish and seafood, but equally convincing alongside Vitello tonnato, Bruschetta al pomodoro or a simple Insalata di rucola e parmigiano. This rosato also makes a fine showing with light pasta dishes featuring tomato or herb sauces. Best served well chilled – and ideally enjoyed in good company.
