Info about the wine
The Odyssée is a single-varietal Pinot Noir from Guillaume Sorbe. The fruit comes from parcels in Reuilly with vines on predominantly clay-limestone soils, but also on soils with pebbles and red sand. The Pinot was produced from whole grapes during spontaneous fermentation with minimal extraction and matured for three years in used 400 and 600-litre barrels. The Odyssée has been labelled Vin de France since the 2018 vintage.
Color
Light, translucent cherry red with clear violet reflections.
Nose
The 2020 Odysee is a Pinot Noir full of finesse and elegance with small red berries, sour cherries, a hint of rosehip and cassis. With a little oxygen contact, notes of light tobacco, tree bark, leather and delicate hints of pepper are added.
Palate
On the palate, the red-fruity impression of the nose is once again evident, accompanied by fine spicy notes and the savoury grip of its fine tannin structure. The elegant presence of this Pinot Noir is astonishing.
Enjoy decanted from large glasses, oxygen gives it an extra boost!
