Character

A profound, focused red wine with a taut structure and cool elegance. On the palate, notes of violet and wild blackberries meet a fine, almost saline minerality and nuances of wet earth. At a moderate 12.5% ABV, it impresses with freshness, sinewy tension and an unadulterated expressiveness, entirely devoid of any flattering sweetness.

Terroir & Origin

Sourced from the single vineyard Morei in the Campo Rotaliano, a dramatic valley plain in Trentino, wedged between the massive rock faces of the Dolomites. The soil of this specific parcel is heavily shaped by alluvial sand and stones that the River Noce has deposited over millennia – including limestone, porphyry and granite. Dramatic temperature swings, with heat-reflecting rocks by day and cool mountain breezes by night, bestow upon the wine its alpine freshness.

Grape Variety & Vinification

Made from 100% Teroldego – that quintessential variety saved from decline by Elisabetta Foradori through meticulous mass selection. Today, her son Emilio continues the cellar work with precise craftsmanship. Ageing in Spanish clay amphorae (Tinajas) allows the wine to breathe alongside the skins, without any perceptible wood obscuring the pure fruit or the mineral signature of the terroir. The estate works strictly according to Demeter guidelines.

Food Pairings

Thanks to its lively acidity and grippy tannins, this Teroldego makes an excellent counterpart to traditional dishes of the Alpine region. It pairs beautifully with braised beef brisket, classic venison goulash, pan-roasted duck breast or mature mountain cheese.
