Beaujolais-Villages Cuvée des Beaux Jours 2020

Chandon de Briailles wines that do not come from its own vineyards are sold under the name "François de Nicolay". In 1998, a winemaker friend of François de Nicolay offered to sell him his grapes from a top vineyard. He could not resist, given the quality on offer, but did not want to mix the grapes with those from his own vineyard. So he founded his own line. From then on, he bought organic quality grapes from winegrower friends, matured the wines in the Chandon de Briailles cellars and marketed them under the name François de Nicolay. He now produces wines from the best places in Burgundy of a quality comparable to that of the wines from his own domain. This allows him to round off and complement his own range.
