Astralabe blanc AOC 2022

The Chêne Bleu vineyard is located high above Gigondas in the mountains of the Dentelles de Montmirail. The history of the estate dates back to the Middle Ages, but at the end of the 1960s these vineyards, which were laborious to cultivate, were abandoned. In the 1990s, the Rolet family discovered this gem and, in twelve years of painstaking work, recultivated the vineyards. The old vines stand on poor soils at an altitude of 550 to 630 metres and defy the harsh winds and cool nights. This produces wines that combine the styles of the northern and southern Rhône. Since the winery is located at a point where four appellations meet, Nicole Rolet has decided not to use an appellation, but to bottle the wines as "Vin de Pays".
