With 14% alcohol, it displays the power of the Castilian plateau, yet remains approachable and accessible.

Terroir & Origin

Mentrida, located west of Madrid, is a historic wine region that long stood in the shadows. The continental conditions with hot summers and cool nights, combined with granitic and sandy soils, create ideal conditions for concentrated, mineral wines. Jiménez-Landi works with old vines at an altitude of approximately 600 metres, where the grapes can retain freshness despite the heat. The family has dedicated itself to reviving this forgotten region, relying on organic viticulture and minimalist interventions.

Grape Variety & Vinification

The white Grenache (Garnacha Blanca) forms the backbone of this Orange Wine and brings its typical fullness and structure. Complemented by other local white varieties, the wine is vinified using skin contact – the grapes ferment with skins and seeds, which gives the wine its characteristic colour, tannins and additional complexity. This traditional, rediscovered method requires craftsmanship and precise timing. The ageing likely takes place in neutral vessels to preserve fruit clarity and varietal expression.
