La Manina is a cuvée of 50% Pinot Blanc, 30% Sauvignon blanc and 20% Chardonnay and comes from young vineyards in Mareid as well as from selected, biodynamic suppliers. The year 2022 was a good year with high pysiological ripeness, warm days, cold nights and well distributed rainfall. The destemmed grapes are pressed slowly over six hours for a high aromatic yield, fermentation in large barrels as well as in steel tanks started spontaneously with their own yeasts, followed by six months of ageing on fine lees.
Color
Light straw yellow with green reflections.
Nose
On the nose, the 2022 La Manina by Manincor is light-footed and fragrant, with notes of pink grapefruit mixed with subtly exotic aromas of pineapple and small quinces, along with ethereal herbal notes of sage and mint. The top note features white flowers such as lilac and citrus blossom. Uncomplicated and upbeat for those moments full of life.
Mouth
Crystal-clear and bone-dry, it also appears on the palate. The fruit is pleasantly restrained without denying itself and is once again underpinned by spices. The herbal notes are joined by light aniseed notes reminiscent of fresh chervil. Juicy and salty with a slightly salty grip, it is uncomplicated in the best sense of the word.
