Colour & Appearance

Luminous purple-red with youthful violet reflections that emphasise the freshness of this 2021 vintage. In magnum format, the wine presents itself with impressive brilliance in the glass.

Nose

Initially dominated by clear cherry fruit, accompanied by sweet oak notes from eight months of barrel ageing. With air contact, the wine’s true personality unfolds: the oak aromas recede, and the wine gains noticeably in appeal and sensuality. A wine that rewards patience in the glass.

Palate

Juicy and fleshy – this is how the Habla del Silencio presents itself on the palate. The fine-grained tannin gives the wine the necessary grip without being obtrusive. Despite its weight, it remains remarkably fresh and never heavy. The fruit and oak components are harmoniously balanced – a sign of mature winemaking.

Finish

Medium length, with pleasant persistence of fruit aromas and subtle spice.

Terroir & Origin

From Extremadura, an underrated region with millennia-old winemaking tradition and Spain’s third-largest vineyard area. Bodegas Habla ranks among the most renowned producers of this emerging zone, which has long deserved to step out of the shadow of classic Spanish wine regions.

Grape Variety & Vinification

A thoughtfully crafted blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Tempranillo and 30% Syrah. Fermentation in stainless steel, followed by 8 months maturation in French barriques. This combination of international and indigenous grape varieties gives the wine structure, fruit and complexity at a moderate 13.5% alcohol.

Food Pairing Suggestions

Excellent with pork chops with sage, grilled lamb or roasted mushrooms. The wine’s structure pairs well with bold flavours, whilst its freshness also complements spicy vegetable dishes.
