Artadis wines have been made from organically produced grapes since the 1980s, and the vineyards are now farmed biodynamically. After the Lacalle and Laorden families took over the winery at the beginning of the 1990s, a structural reorientation took place. This included leaving the Rioja producers' association, the reason why the term Rioja no longer appears on the labels despite the clear origin.
