Philippe Armenier was the first person in Châteauneuf-du-Pape to convert the ancient family estate Domaine de Marcoux to biodynamic cultivation in 1990/91. Although the Cuvée Vieilles Vignes soon achieved 100 Parker points, this was not enough for Philippe. He was concerned with spreading biodynamics. He has long been the leading biodynamic consultant in California. His sisters Catherine and Sophie have run the winery together since 1995. Catherine, who retired in 2019, primarily looked after the vines, while Sophie took care of the cellar. Since 2014, Sophie's son Vincent Estevenin has been actively involved in all areas of the estate with passion and vision. Through many years of organic cultivation of the vineyards, careful grape selection and careful work in the cellar with spontaneous fermentation, gentle extraction, ageing in concrete tanks, foudres and amphorae, Sophie and Vincent give their wines captivating complexity, fascinating minerality and wonderful energy.
