Wine Description for Côtes du Rhône Rosé AOC 2025 by Roche-Audran

Character
A dry, vibrant rosé from the southern Rhône Valley, which combines the Provençal-influenced lightness of the south with the aromatic depth of its classic grape varieties. Roche-Audran stands for a craft-based, terroir-conscious vinification that brings the character of the landscape into the bottle – without compromise for the sake of accessibility.
Terroir & Origin
The vineyards of Roche-Audran lie in the heart of the southern Rhône, not far from Buisson in the Vaucluse département – a landscape shaped by garrigue, limestone and the relentless Mistral. The Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and cool nights gives the grapes a natural freshness that is of decisive importance, especially for rosé wines. The domaine operates according to biodynamic principles, which noticeably underscores the vitality of the soil and the expressive power of the wine.
Grape Variety & Vinification
The blend of Carignan and Cinsault is a classic choice for southern French rosé. The Cinsault brings elegance, floral character and a delicate fruit note, whilst the Carignan – often underestimated, yet of remarkable complexity when from old vines – gives the wine structure, spice and a pleasant acidity. The gentle vinification, typically at low temperatures, preserves the freshness and aromatics of both varieties and results in a rosé of clear, precise style.
Food Pairing Suggestions
This rosé is a natural table companion for Mediterranean cuisine. It harmonises wonderfully with grilled vegetables with Provençal herbs, ratatouille or a tapenade with fresh baguette. Equally recommended with grilled sea bass, prawns with garlic and olive oil or a light goat’s cheese salad. Also as an apéritif in the shade of a Provençal plane tree – simply indispensable.
