Wine Description for Bourgogne Côte d’Or “Les Lameroses” AOC 2023 by Rougeot Père & Fils
- Character
- A red-fruited Burgundy classic of crystalline transparency and vibrant energy. This Pinot Noir focuses on unadorned purity, a dance-like freshness and a fine saline length, completely without opulent oak.
- Terroir & Origin
- Grown in the heart of the prestigious Côte de Beaune. Ever since Pierre-Henri Rougeot repositioned the family estate in 2016, the soils have been the main focus: the parcels are farmed with organic certification to bring the complex minerality of the Burgundian limestone soils unadulterated into the glass.
- Grape Variety & Vinification
- Single-varietal Pinot Noir, crafted with minimal intervention in the cellar. In line with the house philosophy, Pierre-Henri relies on whole-bunch fermentation with indigenous yeasts in the historic 18th-century cellars. Maturation takes place discreetly in used 228-litre Burgundy barrels without bâtonnage, fining or filtration – for maximum origin and authenticity.
- Food Pairings
- Shows its finesse brilliantly with pink-roasted duck breast, classic Coq au Vin or slightly chilled with pan-fried char.
