An immensely juicy play of aromas dominates the initial impression. Notes of apricot, rhubarb, orange peel and ripe pear meet a fine touch of ginger spice. The profile is framed by delicate nutty nuances alongside a colourful variety of meadow herbs and floral accents.

On the palate, the wine presents itself remarkably grippy yet elegant in its youth. The yellow fruit is carried by a delicate, finely structured acidity. A subtly creamy texture provides full richness and a remarkable structure, displaying impressive depth despite its moderate 12.0% ABV.
Terroir & Origin
Nikolaihof in the Wachau is considered Austria’s oldest winery, with historical roots tracing back to Roman times. On this historical soil, the pursuit of natural balance is paramount: the vines grow as a living organism amidst a protected biodiversity of herbs and wildlife.
