Biancone-Riminese
The Biancone-Riminese grape variety, whose historical roots lie in Italy, has taken on a fascinating, entirely unique identity on the barren granite soils of Corsica. In the warm Mediterranean climate, the variety preserves a fine, vibrant acid structure, contributing subtle floral notes and a tart, almost salty texture. It is a grape of quiet tones, which unfolds its structuring power above all in traditional blends. On the biodynamically managed Abbatucci estate, this rarity is preserved in the historic “Général de la Révolution Blanc”. Here, Biancone-Riminese merges with Paga Debiti and Vermentino to create a deep, energetic white wine of great inner tension. Such a wine demands a sophisticated pairing, such as pan-fried sea bream with wild fennel or creamy fresh goat’s cheese.
