Aléaticu
Also known as: Aleatico (Italy), Aliaticu (Corsica)
Aléaticu is the Corsican spelling for Aleatico, an aromatic grape variety with muscat-like spice. In Corsica it is cultivated in vanishingly small quantities – often in mixed plantings with other indigenous varieties.
The three Aléaticu wines in our range all come from Abbatucci, an estate in the Taravo Valley that cultivates Corsican biodiversity in its purest form. Here Aléaticu grows alongside Sciaccarellu, Biancu Gentile and other forgotten local varieties – often in centuries-old mixed plantings.
