Aléaticu

The red grape variety Aléaticu, mostly known as Aleatico in Italy, possesses a fascinating, almost baroque individuality. Genetically closely related to Muscat à Petits Grains, it brings a captivatingly floral perfume to the glass, reminiscent of dark roses, ripe wild berries, and the ethereal spice of the Mediterranean macchia. In Corsica, it shows its finest side, where it is traditionally blended into sophisticated cuvées to contribute freshness and an almost hovering aromatic complexity.
