Wine Description for Rosé 2024 from Haardt Hills

Colour & Appearance
An elegant salmon pink with fine orange reflections – the cuvée from three red grape varieties presents itself in the glass with the finesse of a classic Provence rosé, yet with Palatinate directness.
Nose
Fragrant and inviting: strawberries and wild berries dominate, underpinned by a spicy herbal note reminiscent of fresh thyme and basil. The combination is refreshing and whets the appetite for the first sip – despite its minimal alcohol content, this wine displays remarkable aromatic complexity.
Palate
Pleasantly dry and surprisingly substantial for an alcohol-free rosé. The fruity notes of red berries are accompanied by a fine spiciness, likely stemming from Sankt Laurent. The wine shows structure and drinking flow – here you can sense the hand of winemakers who understand that alcohol-free doesn’t mean flavour-free.
Finish
Medium-length with lingering berry fruit and a refreshing, slightly herbal note. No cloying sweetness, but rather a clean, dry texture that invites you to reach for the next glass.
Grape Variety & Vinification
A thoughtfully composed cuvée from Pinot Noir, Sankt Laurent and Portugieser – three grape varieties that are traditionally at home in the Palatinate. The dealcoholisation was clearly carried out gently, preserving the characteristic qualities of each variety. At just 0.5% vol., this is a fully-fledged alcohol-free wine.
Food Pairing Suggestions
An ideal companion to Mediterranean dishes: tomato and mozzarella salad, grilled vegetables, antipasti or light pasta with herbs. Also an exciting pairing with sushi or Asian summer rolls.
Special Features
This alcohol-free rosé from the Palatinate proves that the new generation of alcohol-free wines deserves to be taken seriously in terms of flavour – not a compromise, but an independent and genuinely enjoyable alternative.
