Wine description for naked red non-vintage 375ml by Heinrich

Colour & Appearance
Deep cherry red with an intense core and a bright, vibrant rim – a wine that already signals its youthful freshness in the glass.
Nose
Complex and seductively dark, the nose presents itself with a crisp berry mix of blackcurrant, elderberry, blackberry and sour cherry. The fruit never comes across as concentrated or jammy, but rather refreshingly precise. An elegant liquorice note brings ethereal coolness, whilst anise nuances add complexity. To this are added juniper and green pepper, framed by a wreath of fresh garden herbs.
Palate
The entry on the palate is characterised by grip and texture, yet remarkably juicy and silky at the same time. The slender, almost dance-like texture makes it irresistibly drinkable. The fruit transforms into raspberry and especially sour cherry, whilst the spice retreats discreetly. The drinking flow is excellent – a wine that brings pure pleasure.
Finish
Fresh and lively with lingering cherry fruit and a fine, herbal spice that invites the next sip.
Terroir & Origin
The vines thrive on both sides of Lake Neusiedl: on the slopes of the Leitha Mountains on limestone and slate, on the Parndorf Plateau on gravel soils and on the Heide soil on humus-rich soils. This diversity lends the wine its complex structure.
Grape Variety & Vinification
A non-vintage cuvée with Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch as its backbone, supported by St. Laurent. Harvest from late August to mid-September, spontaneous fermentation over two weeks in wooden fermentation vessels and steel tank on the skins, followed by over a year of maturation in wooden fermentation vessels. Moderate 12.5% alcohol makes it the ideal everyday companion.
Food Pairing Suggestions
Perfect with grilled vegetables, pizza, pasta with tomato sauce, charcuterie or a burger. Also an excellent choice with roasted chicken or light game dishes.
Special Features
The non-vintage concept ensures consistency across the years. The 375ml bottle is ideal for spontaneous moments for two – uncomplicated, honest, „naked“ indeed.
