Wine profile
The Huet family discovered the appeal of this particular property during a visit to Vouvray in 1928, a delightful vineyard spread over five hectares. The momentous acquisition laid the foundation for the domaine.

Location information
Today, the family cultivates fifteen hectares of vines majestically perched above the Vouvray plateau. The reddish-brown tone of the Haut-Lieu gives the wines a distinctive fruitiness and freshness.

Colour printout
The wine shines in a deep golden yellow with bright green reflections that make it sparkle slightly.

Fragrance nuances
The 2018 Vouvray Le Haut-Lieu 1ère Trie Moelleux unfolds an impressively complex nose. Memories of apple, apple sauce, quince, quince jelly, white peach puree and ripe pear come to mind. Fine traces of anise and ginger resonate. Added to this are floral accents of acacia blossom, camomile and honeysuckle as well as a delicate green note of nettle and savory, which provide a pronounced tension and liveliness.

Taste experience
On the palate, the wine reveals subtle finesse, complementing an elegant sweetness with citrus and apple notes. A slightly spicy undertone further stimulates the taste buds. The wine seems to literally float across the palate, airy and light. It is still in the infancy of its development and has the potential to continue to develop excellently in the coming years. Those who would like to taste it now should decant the wine and serve it in a wider glass at a temperature that is not too cool.

New food recommendations
Golden yellow lentils with dates, honey and habanero chillies Grilled baguette with wild spinach, bechamel and smoked bacon Forest blackberries with nectarines and a light Vouvray mint jelly.
