Colour & Appearance

Radiant, intense yellow with golden-green highlights.

Nose

A profound interplay of aromas featuring white peaches, ripe pear and citrus blossoms, underpinned by a fine mineral freshness and a touch of dried herbs.

Palate

On the palate, the wine reveals itself as powerful yet remarkably focused. Despite its impressive 15.0% ABV, the texture feels dense, creamy and smooth, interwoven with a fine chalky vein. Ripe stone fruit notes meet a subtle cool minerality, lending structure and elegance to the richness.

Finish

Long, complex and impressively persistent, featuring notes of lemon zest, yellow plums and an enduring, salty-mineral length.

Terroir & Origin

Sourced from the historic Clos de Beauvenir, a single vineyard site situated directly below the Château in the southern Rhône. The remarkably high limestone content of this terroir provides ideal conditions for white grape varieties, endowing the wine with its pronounced mineral tension.

Grape Variety & Vinification

A classic Rhône blend of Roussanne and Grenache Blanc. Estate director Rémi Jean favours rigorous parcel-by-parcel vinification and spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts. The grapes are organically grown (certified since 1998).

Food Pairings

An excellent match for pan-seared turbot with saffron butter, delicate poultry liver parfait, or rich dishes featuring lobster and sweetbreads.
