Terroir & Origin

Priorat, located south-west of Barcelona, ranks among Spain’s two DOCa regions – the highest quality classification. The region is characterised by the famous Llicorella slate soils, whose dark, glimmering slate plates retain heat whilst providing excellent drainage. These barren, mineral-rich soils, combined with the Mediterranean climate and steep hillside vineyards, produce wines of extraordinary concentration and minerality. The 2023 vintage benefited from favourable conditions that promoted freshness and balance.

Grape Variety & Vinification

The combination of Grenache (Garnacha) and Carignan (Cariñena) is the traditional backbone of Priorat. Grenache provides juicy fruit, fullness and alcohol warmth, whilst Carignan contributes structure, acidity and earthy notes.
