Wine Description for Rosé VdF 2021 1500ml Magnum by Alône

Colour & Appearance
Delicate apricot with silvery highlights towards the rim – a rosé of Provençal elegance and transparency that appears particularly impressive in magnum format.
Nose
Subtle yet multifaceted: peach and honeydew melon meet light red fruits and citrus. Subtle floral notes and a hint of anise lend the aromatic profile a Mediterranean complexity that unfolds gradually and never feels intrusive.
Palate
Here the Alône reveals its true nature: juicy and powerful, with a delicate fruit sweetness that elegantly combines with savoury spice and refreshing acidity. The 13.5% alcohol is perfectly integrated – this rosé possesses substance without heaviness.
Finish
Long and characterised by a distinctive saline note that evokes proximity to the Mediterranean. A finale that whets the appetite and invites the next sip.
Terroir & Origin
The winery sits on the Lône, a small river in Provence, and is watched over by a centuries-old oak – a symbol of the quality of the sandy terroir. After 25 years of winemaking experience, Pascale Jourdan and Christian Ott have realised their dream of complete freedom here, inspired by their great-grandfather who planted his first vineyard in 1896.
Grape Variety & Vinification
68% Grenache, 25% Cinsault, 7% Syrah – hand-harvested and chilled to prevent oxidation. Whole-bunch pressing with maceration for colour and aromas, fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Ageing on fine lees takes place in stainless steel tanks, ceramic and porcelain spheres, which preserve fruit clarity. Natural winemaking without conventions.
Food Pairing Suggestions
Grilled anchovies with rosemary, thyme and olive oil, olive tapenade on crackers, cassoulet or other intense Provençal dishes. This rosé handles spice and power on the plate.
Special Features
The magnum bottle (1500ml) is ideal for special occasions and guarantees slower, more harmonious maturation. A rosé with identity and depth – far removed from inconsequential summer wines.
