Terroir & Origin

The Familia Nin Ortiz belongs to those committed producers of Catalonia who rediscover the potential of traditional grape varieties and local soils, bringing them into the bottle with artisanal respect. Catalonia offers ideal conditions for fresh, aromatic white wines with its diverse altitudes, Mediterranean climate and mineral-rich soils. The red soils, to which the name „Terra Vermella“ – red earth – alludes, impart the wine with a distinctive mineral depth.

Grape Variety & Vinification

Parellada is one of the noblest and yet least known white grape varieties of Catalonia. Traditionally known as a component of the classic Cava blend, as a single varietal wine it unfolds a fascinating life of its own: delicate aromatics, natural acidity structure and a characteristic lightness that makes it an ideal expression of Mediterranean terroir. The moderate alcohol content points to careful, freshness-focused vinification – an approach that places the integrity of the fruit and the place at the forefront.
