Tasting note
Character
The Sincronia Blanc embodies the philosophy of Mesquida Mora: authenticity over adaptation. The name is a programme – a synchrony of autochthonous and international grape varieties that together speak to the distinctiveness of Mallorcan terroir. The wine is dry, fresh and marked by vibrant tension, shaped by an approach that places craftsmanship and respect for origin at its heart.
Terroir & Origin
Mallorca is far more than a holiday destination – the island possesses a millennia-old winemaking tradition that today is being reinterpreted by a new generation of dedicated winemakers. Mesquida Mora, located in Porreres in the heart of the island, works biodynamically and allows the characteristic calcareous soils and Mediterranean climate – with hot summers, mild winters and the cooling sea breeze – to flow into the wine unadulterated. This combination gives white wines from the region a remarkable aromatic freshness and mineral depth.
Grape Variety & Vinification
The heart of Sincronia Blanc is formed by a blend of Chardonnay, the international reference variety, Parellada, an elegant Catalan variety with natural acidity, and Prensal (also known as Moll), Mallorca’s most important indigenous white wine variety. The latter gives the wine its distinctive island character. Mesquida Mora employs a gentle, biodynamic vinification that puts terroir centre stage and preserves the aromatics of individual varieties rather than overworking them.
Food Pairing Suggestions
An ideal companion to Mediterranean cuisine: grilled fish and seafood harmonise as elegantly as Mallorcan ensaimada with savoury filling or tapas with Manchego and olives. With light pasta and risotto dishes featuring herbs and citrus notes, the wine also reveals its fresh, vibrant side.
