Tinta Pinheira

Tinta Pinheira belongs to the quieter grape varieties of the Douro – not part of the classic Port wine blends, but present in individual dry red wines. Somewhat more austere, cooler in expression than Touriga or Tinta Roriz, with an acidic structure that preserves freshness in hot years. It can be found at Niepoort’s Quinta da Lomba, where it is part of old field blends.
