The Azienda I Paglieri is somewhat hidden in the lower part of the village of Barbaresco. Today, in the fourth generation, the young and extremely likeable Luca leads the fortunes of the house, but always in close cooperation with his father Alfredo. The work in the vineyards is sustainable. The vinification and the maturation of the wines take place extremely traditionally for a long period in large wooden barrels. Barrique has never been an issue for the family and never will be. For Luca, it is a matter of course to bring his great wines to the market only when they have reached a first drinking maturity, and not when the market calls for it. This explains the fantastic balance between the elegant tannin structure, the firm acid framework and the fine, ripe fruit.
