Directly opposite the main house on the other bank of the Moselle is the largest part of the Busch family vineyards in the Marienburg site. The former subdivision into individual vineyards fell victim to wine legislation in the 1970s. In order to emphasise the specific differences within the Mari-enburg vineyard, Clemens Busch vinifies the parcels separately and bottles the wines under the former parcel designations, such as Fahrlay or Falkenlay. In this way, the different slate soils and the special microclimates are clearly expressed in the wine. The wines, which are harvested very late, are characterised by enormous richness and power as well as mineral substance.
