Color:
Dense cherry red, black at the core with delicate brick red highlights towards the rim.
Nose:
On the nose, the 2016 Le Trame Chianti Classico presents itself very charming with fine leather, undergrowth and spice notes. The whole is accompanied by pickled black cherries, prunes, dried figs and grilled chestnuts. Unmistakable are its oily notes of liquid chocolate, which additionally strengthen this charming impression.
Palate:
Juicy and fleshy is its palate, equipped with the opulent fruit of the nose and a wonderfully matured tannin structure. A wine that is clearly marked by an earthy depth and an honest and concise statement. Its fine acidity gives it a refreshing and invigorating edge. In spite of its fullness, it does not seem saturating at any time. In the long aftertaste, one senses fine minerality.
