Color
medium straw yellow
Nose
This is a wonderfully fresh and fragrant young Kamptal Riesling. It is reminiscent of freshly sliced green apples, Meyer lemons and a hint of papaya, as well as a subtle stony and herbal spiciness.
Mouth
On the palate the Kamptal Riesling quickly builds pressure and stretches a long acidic arc from the tip of the tongue to the back of the palate. The Riesling is juicy and fresh here as well and picks up the aromatics of the bouquet again, oscillating between yellow and green citrus aromas and those of Granny Smith. Here, however, there is an additional bit of white peach. On the palate, too, the subtle spice is evident, indeed perhaps a little more so in the emphasis on dry herbs and, on the finish, especially in the clear expression of cool crushed stone and the accompanying idea of minerality. This is a very straighter Wine, which provides however at the same time with a fine creaminess for elegance.
