The owner families of Bodegas Habla have set themselves the ambitious goal of competing with the best wines of the Rioja and Ribera del Duero regions. The partly very poor soils and the extreme climate of the Extremadura plateau offer the best conditions for this. The region is one of the oldest wine-growing areas in the world and experienced its first heyday under Roman rule, which later faded somewhat due to the influence of the Moors. Due to the long periods of drought in the summer months, the vines have to root deeply and thus absorb minerals and thus character from a depth of up to ten meters, so that complex and profound wines are created.
