Grenache blanc

Grenache Blanc, the white mutation of the famous red Grenache, is the aromatic foundation of Mediterranean white wine culture. Originally native to northeastern Spain, it shapes the great cuvées of the South with its powerful stature, mild acidity, and spicy notes of anise, ripe peach, and garrigue herbs. It possesses the fascinating ability to convey a fine, almost salty minerality despite its considerable richness, lending structure and remarkable length to the wines.

The versatility of this grape variety is demonstrated by its adaptability. Vinified as a single-varietal wine, it reveals an unexpected depth and freshness, as proven by the Tros Blanc from Alfredo Arribas, which is deeply marked by its barren terroir. In a classic blend, on the other hand, it captures the warmth of the Rhône; in the Cuvée César, Roche-Audran congenially combines it with Viognier to create a dense, vibrant pleasure.
