Info

A cuvée of Roussanne, Grenache Blanc and Marsanne with a touch of Viognier.

The vineyard is located high up on the Ventoux. After manual harvesting, the berries pass twice over the sorting table. Lowest yields with the highest fruit quality. Fermentation takes place in small batches in the modern cellar, which has been completely subordinated to gravity. A mixture of traditional and ultra-modern techniques are used in the cellar. Fermentation and ageing take place for eight months in small wooden barrels.

Color

Intensely bright lemon yellow with green reflections

Nose

Plenty of warm flavours pour out of the glass. Kaffir lime leaves ensnare the scent of grapefruit, blood orange, mango and pineapple. A hint of khaki and ripe apricot go wonderfully well with this. It has a nutty scent of walnuts and almonds. This also harmonises wonderfully with the fruit. Oriental spice is reminiscent of turmeric and ras el hanout as well as cinnamon sticks and cardamom. Rosemary, lavender, ethereal, fragrant pine groves and pine cones as well as the omnipresent garrigue add the Mediterranean crown. However, the fruit and spice are always enlivened by cooling elements.

Palate

It combines all these impressions on the palate. Oily and generous on the palate. The fruit shows itself in all its written facets. It is lush in its flavour, but concentrated in its mouthfeel, which I really appreciate. It therefore also benefits from fine acidity peaks and stony hints, which activate it very well. The spicy Mediterranean and oriental flavours offer a beautiful duel in the finish.
