Wine information
Although white wine grapes only account for about 5 percent of the area and production in the Catalan DOQ Priorat, the qualities are sometimes outstanding. Les Margues is one of the top-class and exciting white wines of the Priorat. The cuvée of Garnacha Blanca and Garnacha Gris comes from high altitude vineyards with limestone and clay marl soils. After spontaneous fermentation, it was aged for 12 months in 500-litre oak barrels.

Nose
This white wine has an attractive and distinct nose, in which a great mix of cool minerality, sensual herbal aromas and a smoky, fiery reduction note merge. None of this is overbearing, the aromatic intensity is equally high. The bouquet has balance, is gripping and elegant.
Palate
Les Margues also has a lot of expressiveness and personality on the palate. The white wine is full-bodied and creamy, grippy and taut, spicy and complex. The Gewächs has a great arc of tension with ripe fruit aromas and floral notes, plus a fine acidity, pressure and structure, and a long finish with animating salty notes. This white wine offers pure drinking pleasure and is also profound, complex and uncompromising.
