The so-called "half bottles" have a volume of 0.375 liters. This corresponds to half the size of a standard 750ml bottle.

Half bottles are ideal to accompany a multi-course meal for 2-4 people. Such a wine accompaniment could, for example, consist of a sparkling wine, a red wine and a sweet wine. Your guests would neither have to drink too much nor would they be left with open wines.

Another possibility is to use demi-bottles for tastings or (smaller) gifts. In addition, this format offers the possibility of making particularly precious wines more affordable. This is also the reason why many noble sweet wines such as Beerenauslesen and Trockenbeerenauslesen are usually only sold in half bottles.
