The so-called „half bottles“ have a volume of 0.375 litres. This corresponds to half the size of a standard 750ml bottle.

Half bottles are excellent for wine pairing with a multi-course meal for 2-4 people. Such a wine pairing could, for example, consist of a sparkling wine, a red wine and a dessert wine. This way, your guests would neither have to drink too much nor would there be any open wines left over.

Another way to use demi-bottles is for tastings or (smaller) gifts. In addition, this format offers the opportunity to make particularly precious wines more affordable. This is also the reason why many noble sweet wines such as Beerenauslese and Trockenbeerenauslese are generally only sold in half bottles.
