Wine information
The Champagne is an assemblage of 50 % Pinot Noir and 50 % Chardonnay from the 2020 vintage. The vineyards of Champagne Louise Brison are located at an altitude of around 320 metres above sea level and are characterised by Kimmeridge limestone and marl with a layer of clay - similar to the neighbouring Chablis. The base wine was fermented in barriques and the blend was brought together in stainless steel. Disgorgement took place with two grams of dosage in October 2022.
Color
Brilliant straw yellow with a light copper tinge and fine perlage
Nose
The 2020 Mémoire smells of meadow orchards, ripe citrus fruits with grated zest, a hint of candied ginger and white flowers. The notes of autolysis are very subtle here, reminiscent of almond biscuits and puff pastry. Nevertheless, the wine is already pleasantly dry on the nose.
Palate
On the palate the Mémoire 20 an elegant opening with ripe white-fleshed and citrus fruit, with a few red berries and the aforementioned pastry. This proves to be very skilful and very classic. The acidity is lively and provides pleasant pressure, the perlage is fine and the minerality brings tension to the champagne, where every sip is a joy.
