The Uvaggio Bianco “Areore” epitomises the elegant complexity of the Friulian white wine craft. This sophisticated cuvée of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Friulano vereint internationale Rebsorten mit der autochthonen friulanischen Tradition zu einem harmonischen Ganzen. Der Name “Areore” – ein Wortspiel aus “Amore” und “Ore” (Stunden) – deutet bereits auf die zeitintensive Sorgfalt hin, mit der Familie Scarbolo diesen Wein kreiert.

Terroir and winemaking style

The Friuli with its calcareous soils and continental climate with Adriatic influences, creates ideal conditions for this combination of grape varieties. Scarbolo, a family business with deep roots in the region, practises a respectful approach to the terroir. The cuvée benefits from the mineral structure of Sauvignon Blanc, the creamy texture of Chardonnay and the characteristic Friulian finesse of Friulano.

With 14.0% Alcohol the wine is powerful, but never overpowering - a sign of the warm, but not excessively hot climate of the 2021 vintage. The dry orientation emphasises the purist philosophy of the house.
