Color
Sparkling, light golden yellow with clear green reflexes.
Nose
The 2016 Pinot Gris Altenbourg is a charming and voluptuous drop this is already indicated in the nose. Caramelized walnuts, forest honey, dates and nougat make the start. With oxygen contact, green notes of chervil, fir shoots and fennel are added as well as an extremely refreshing ginger note.
Palate
Oily and sweet, the 2016 Pinot Gris Altenbourg runs along the tongue and flirts with a fresh acidity and a very nice mineral underpinning. It has the best potential to mature, but is definitely still too young to be drunk right now. In a few years, it will be the perfect seducer for refined and rich dishes.
