Colour & appearance
Medium-dark ruby red with black reflections - a wine that reveals its Mediterranean origin and concentration in the glass.
Nose
The bouquet unfolds with impressive intensity: wild cherries, redcurrants and wild strawberries dominate the first impression, accompanied by red plums and a hint of cassis. With increasing aeration, the typical Corsican soul reveals itself - the wild herbs of the Macchia The flavours of the grapes mingle with black pepper, fine spicy notes and a fascinating blend of graphite, smoke and fresh leather. This complexity is characteristic of Abbatucci's uncompromising biodynamic work.
Palate
On the palate, the Ministre Impérial 2019 has a voluminous presence and considerable roundness. The red fruit is fresh and lively, supported by a racy acidity structure that gives the wine remarkable energy despite its 14.5% alcohol. Elegant spice and subtle bitter tones play with fine-grained, ripe tannins that form a solid structure - a clear sign of ageing potential. The long, mouthwatering finish combines power with finesse, Mediterranean richness with mineral tension. A wine that combines seriousness with elegance.
